I woke up and after a week of walking I was really in need of a rest day and fortunately I was at a couch surfers hosts house whom I knew would not mind me chilling around while he was at work. I gave Mike a call and asked if he minded if I chilled out for the day. He did not mind what so ever, I thanked him immensely and told him how important it was. He had no problem and I hung up the phone with a smile knowing my body, mind, and soul were thankful.
The day was spent working on the website, taking a bike trip to the nearest subway, and watching a movie. It was a wonderful rest day, Productive and restful, can not ask for anything more.
When Mike got back he invited me to his parents house. I accepted, thanking him for the invited we headed off in his cool Audi TT, a wicked fun ride. Nice whip Mike! We got to his parents house where we had a wonderful dinner and I got to know his parents and discuss my trip and couch surfing. I feel my future is going to be filled couch surfing and informing people of what a great concept and experience it could be and has been for me! They were aware of couch surfing through their son Mike and had met a couple of his surfers and always had a good experience and I was glad to perpetuate their ideas on this subject. Mike always picked up his dog while we were there and I could see how dearly he loved this dog. He sat quietly in the back of the car and was well behaved. When we got back to his apartment he showed me how great of a hunting dog he is by showing me how he points. What a cool dog!
Mike had to get up early in the morning and he would be heading out before I was up so him and I said goodbye that night. Another great experience with a wonderful host. Thanks Mike and thank you to your parents.
